Therapy for Young people from 11 years +
For young people (11+), sessions are adapted to suit their age, needs and communication style. This might include talking, creative approaches, or simply having space to think and reflect - encouraging growth within.
Confidentiality is respected, while keeping the young person’s wellbeing at the heart of the work. I am always happy to talk with parents or carers to explain the process and answer questions.
There is no expectation to share more than you feel ready to. Together, we'll work at a pace that feels comfortable for you, helping you build trust, develop self-compassion, and find ways to move forward with greater confidence and hope.
Growing up isn’t easy. Young people often face pressures at school, at home and within friendships — and sometimes it can feel like too much to carry alone.
Therapy can help with:
Feeling anxious, stressed or withdrawn
Struggling with emotions or confidence
Finding school or friendships difficult
Dealing with family changes or past experiences
Neurodiversity and identity
Sessions provide a safe, confidential and non‑judgemental space where young people can talk openly and feel listened to. I work in a neuro‑affirming and trauma‑informed way, adapting sessions to suit each individual.
Finding the right counsellor is important.
I offer a warm, supportive and non-judgemental space where you can feel heard and understood.
With experience working within the NHS and supporting adults and young people, I understand how difficult it can be to take the first step towards counselling. My approach combines person-centred counselling, trauma-informed practice and CBT-informed techniques to help you gain insight, build resilience and move towards lasting change.
Whether you're struggling with anxiety, self-esteem, relationships, grief, trauma or feeling stuck, we'll work together at a pace that feels right for you.
